A case study is a summary document that showcases a project from foundation to finish.
It values the process as much as the final outcome, allowing the designer to explain each step in the design process. As a portfolio piece, it’s an opportunity to show future employeers and/or clients how you work and think.

Pro Tips
- Identify EARLY How You Want To Measure Success: Whether you are using quantitive or qualitative data (or both), think early on how you will be measuring success for your project. You'll want to identify these immediately so you can design your prototypes to measure these results.
- Document Your Work: Projects and people disappear over time. Make sure to collect a copy of the documentation (photos, materials, etc.) before the project ends so that if you need to reference the material or evolve the project you have the means to do so
- Download file formats: People ghost, and ownership of files may evolve (or you may not be able to get access)....so get files before the project ends. This may mean getting a PDF of a powerpoint, etc.
